Everyone, meet Ged. Fresh out of University, my old stomping ground UWE, Ged has begun an internship here at Ginger Monkey HQ, exciting times!
I met Ged last year, just as he was settling into his second year at University, and I had a sneaking suspicion then that he was going to develop further into a real class act, he's done just that. Recently awarded by the ISTD (with merit) for his book The Revolution will be Televised and fresh from completing a hand screen printed, hand embossed, limited edition run of his own magazine, he's now fully involved in helping out on some of the projects I have on the go and learning the ways of an independent maker of things. Ged has a strong, mix bag of skill sets and interests. Along with a fellow designer he puts on a night in Bristol called A-ok. The night involves people exhibiting their work and having a bit of a boogie to some old Atlantic soul records. You can also catch him painting murals, studying Kung Fu and pursuing his love of photography, just not all at the same time. I'm really looking forward to seeing how our personalities mesh over the coming months and what will develop from our ideas being pushed into new territories. As I've already mentioned, it's all a bit exciting at the moment.
I've posted a few shots of his recent projects below but you can hop on over to his website at www.gedpalmer.com to see some more.
